The Hidden Secrets of Cambridge

Murray Jacobs is a Cambridge Green Badge Guide who has previously given two talks on the Hidden Secrets of Cambridge at the Bradfield Centre on the Park.

Murray has picked some of his stories from previous talks with one or two extra details thrown in:

Oxford has a number of connections with Harry Potter, but are there any Harry Potter links to Cambridge?
One monarch left their audience “astonished” on their one and only visit to Cambridge, but who was it and just what did they do exactly?
“Caius” of Gonville and Caius College held a rather unusual prejudice and as for the gate he designed, people seem to love it or hate it!
If you like maps, one of Cambridge from 1592 will reveal one or two rather surprising changes.
After this talk, you’ll be looking at King’s Parade in a whole new light!
